The use of psychedelics, paired with psychotherapy, has the potential to yield significant breakthroughs for men and women with difficult-to-treat eating disorders. The presenter will briefly review her research in progress with ayahuasca, MDMA, psilocybin and ketamine, Different applications of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy for ED will also be highlighted, along with medicolegal and safety considerations for this vulnerable population. Finally, the presenter will highlight theorized mechanisms of change, including love and spirituality, and the ways in which psychedelic research can inform the delivery of conventional ED care
